This Weeks Advice On a Book:
The Wim Hof Method!
This guy is mind-blowing! Seen him live once and thought to myself ''what an odd guy''. But after picking up his book I can definitely say I am team Wim now! The book is phenomenal, Wim is phenomenal, The method is PHENOMENAL!! Honestly I suggest you check this book out and try his method. Wim has done things that humans are not supposed to be able to do and now he is teaching others to do the same. I am on day 6 of my cold showers and I feel amazing! Working on my breathing exercises slowly. The method is so easy to follow, but results are next level! Check it out, you won't regret it!
Fitness Tip of the Week:
Don't use Fitness as a Punishment!
Don't come to the gym or go for a run because you have to do it! Don't tell yourself that you have to loose that weight! Don't punish yourself with fitness! Build a mentality of ''Get to'' rather than ''Have to''! Fitness is a gift. Fitness is an escape!. Fitness is a sanctuary! It should never be treated as a punishment!
Especially this time of a year I hear it more and more. The ''I have to loose this extra weight'', ''I have to make it to the gym''. Here's the truth: If you don't loose the weight, guess what?? It's not the end of the world! You don't make it to the gym, guess what?? It's still not the end of the world!!
Stop being so damn hard on yourself. Create positive emotions toward exercise and you will feel better while doing it. Nothing in your life should feel like a punishment and if it does you must be doing something wrong.
So how about you have that mince pie with no guilt, put your biggest smile on and come to the gym to have a great time! And smile while you do your burpees, throw everyone of their guard!

Supplement of the Week:
Green-Lipped Mussel Extract
It stinks of seafood and is probably not the best for you if you have a shellfish allergy, but other than that it is an amazing supplement! I have stumbled on it when I damaged my knee. For around 6 months I couldn't do squats or lunges as my right knee was knackered after doing some silly stuff in the gym. Taking these tablets and doing my rehab work definitely made the difference. My knees are stronger than they have ever been and now I take this supplement every few months for maintenance. So what makes these mussels special?
Green lipped mussels are a rich source of anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids, especially eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).Furthermore, researchers have identified other types of fatty acids from the mussels which may also possess anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting enzymes and proteins that produce inflammation and pain. Similarly, green lipped-mussels contain chondroitin sulphate, a component of connective tissues like joints and bones that may reduce inflammation in the same way. In addition to these anti-inflammatory nutrients, the mussels are a good source of zinc and an excellent source of iron, selenium, and several B-vitamins.
