Who you are and what you do?

Emma-Louise, 23 years old, from Belgium.
I am a personal trainer at Roko.
I started my personal trainer journey 5 years ago in Belgium.
I see myself as an athlete. Always trying to improve my strength, endurance, fitness skills, nutrition,…

What are your goals and plans?

Getting stronger mentally and physically.
Building muscles.
Keep learning, keep helping my clients reaching their goal.
Helping my clients feeling stronger, powerful and confident

Why did you choose to be part of Team IF?

I really like the products and the honesty of Marius.

He is really passionate and want to sell the best products at the best price.
More business owners should think like him.
And the products are really good quality.

 

What is favourite product and why?

The vegan protein powder. I am lactose intolerant so I need to go for
vegan protein powders. And finding good vegan protein powder is really difficult. This one is one of the best I have tasted so far.

What is favourite exercise and why?

Deadlift, because it works every muscles of your body.
This exercises build muscles, boost your metabolism, makes you stronger but, it also help with your mental health.
Help fight stress, anxiety and depression

What is your favourite quote?

‘‘Go one more’’

What is your advice for someone starting their fitness journey?

Fitness is a skill. Like running, swimming, cycling,… you need to learn and practise each sport to avoid injuries and become good at them. Fitness is not just picking dumbbells up and hoping for results. I will say if you are a beginner hire a personal trainer. They learned the best way to train and they will help you get to your goal faster and injury free.

Who you are and what you do?

Hey! I’m Hannah Kay (@hannahkayfitness) and I’m a Personal Trainer at Roko Health Club, York. I coach and train anyone who is wanting to become a better version of themselves, wants a healthy relationship with food and exercise and to improve their mindset.

 

What are your goals and plans?

My goals are to reach and transform the lives, in more ways than just fitness, of as many people as possible. Working on habits, fitness and exercise, nutrition, mindset, and mindfulness.

 

Why did you choose to be part of Team IF?

Since trying my first IF Supplement products and getting to know Marius, and getting more involved in IF, I was 100% on board with becoming a part of this community in some way and that’s exactly what Team IF is about! It’s such a supportive team and continuously pushing each other to get the best of ourselves.

 

What is favourite product and why?

My favourite product must be the Vegan Protein Shakes, I used to be Vegan, so this was my obvious go-to however having now tried all the Whey Protein Shakes, I love them all. An extra shout-out to the Blueberry Pre-Workout as this is another go-to! The quality is like no-other and over the years I’ve tried a lot of Protein products and when you find quality like this, you stick with it!

 

What is favourite exercise and why?

Hip Thrusts! Gals and Guys out there, they are for all of you! These are my all-time favourite. The power and strength you feel from performing this exercise is incomparable and having been on my own journey of growing and gaining more strength, these have been my saviour, not to mention the ‘peach pump’ you get too.

 

What is your favourite quote?

I am an absolute sucker for quotes and have a million and one saved in the notes of my phone, however the one I have tattooed on my rib reads “Never let anyone dull your sparkle”, the ‘anyone’ includes yourself. Don’t listen to the nay-sayers or the people who don’t believe in you, and be your biggest cheerleader! Show the world your sparkle!

 

What is your advice for someone starting their fitness journey?

Fitness is not one-size fits all. Everyone is different, each workout, each diet, each plan and programme are personal to you and your goals. And remember, everyone starts somewhere; don’t compare your Day 1 to someone’s Day 100 or 1000 for that matter, every ‘pro’ was once a beginner!

Fish Oil

Fish oil is one of the most commonly consumed dietary supplements. Apparently according to World health organization we all should eat 1-2 servings of oily fish a week (herring, tuna, anchovies, and mackerel). Who has time to do that?? I personally eat fish very rarely. Not because I don't have time, but because I don't find it very filling. If you are like me and  don't eat fish too often, you should probably think about supplementing your diet with some fish oils. Why is it important?

Fish oils have a wide range of positive effects on your body such as:
Improve quality of skin
Support heart health
Improve mental health
Support eye health
Reduce inflammation

I take fish oils to reduce inflammation on my muscles and I can definitely feel the difference in my recovery when I take it.
